You should have a cat

Do you ever feel alone? Well no problem! A cat is purrfect for you!  Three reasons why you should get a cat are you can be more responsible, they love snuggling with you, and you will be happier!

Everyone knows that having a cat can make you more responsible.  For example you have to feed the cat, give it water, brush it and give it baths. This can also help you look after other things like your siblings. Also you can teach it to poo in your backyard so your dad will not explode. It is clear that you will be more responsible with a cat.

You must agree that if you have a cat you will have plenty of love.  You will get daily snuggles and purring. I find purring soothing. And you will never be alone. So that is why a cat is purrrfectly lovely for you!

I strongly believe that you will be happier if you have a cat.  You will be less bored because there is always a cat to snuggle with.  Also many people will want to snuggle your cat so you will have more friends. It is clear that you will be happier with a cat.

 

In conclusion, that is I why I think you should have a cat. So if you want to be more responsible, have more love and be more happy I think a cat is the purrfect pet for you! If you are ready to take action, here is a link to get a cat!

The Cave and The C Club

 Once upon a time there was a club called the C Club. Their names were Cecily, Claudia and Cormac. 

They were going to a cave. A cave where really cool animals are. So they packed up and got in the car.

Cecily brought a necklace. But this was not any necklace, it was a magical evil eye.  It used to be a magical evil eye but she put a string around the hole in it and she wore it as a necklace. (Evil eyes scare away evil spirits and grant wishes.)

 Cormac brought a wand. A wizard wand. Like Harry Potter and a big book full of hexes so he would not forget them. And he brought a backpack for all his stuff.

 Claudia brought her pet dragon. Her dragons name was Flame. Flame was a baby fire dragon.

So they all got in the car and Cecily’s mom drove them to the cave. Claudia  told Flame to not blow sparks. And in a couple minutes they were at the cave.

 Cormac had a walkie talkie to talk to his Mom. They all walked into the cave while Cecily’s Mom drove back to her house. 

“Ok. We should watch out for bats and bears.” said Cecily. 

“We should but Cormac has his wand and hexes right?” asked Claudia 

“Yup I do” said Cormac who took out his wand and spelled “C Club” in the air with his wand. 

“Ok good” said Cecily. “I wish that there is a big trail of light following us wherever we go so we won’t get lost when we come back” whispered  Cecily to her evil eye and within a second a beam of light was following them.

 It was so fast that Flame was shooting flames out of her mouth. 

“Don’t do that again to else we will be burned alive” said Claudia who was picking up Flame and carrying her.

 “Well at least we have small protection.” said Cormac who was looking sideways at Flame who was burning rocks and then eating them. 

 “Hey!” said Cecily. 

“What?” said Claudia and Cormac at the same time. 

“A SCULL!!” yelled Cecily who ran over to the scull. She picked up a jagged rock and started poking the scull with it.

 “What are you doing?” asked Cormac.

 “Checking how the person died.” said Cecily.

“What if the person died of old age?” asked Claudia.

 “AHA!” screamed Cecily who picked up a big claw. “He died because of a bear!” said Cecily.

 “How do you know it is a bear claw?” asked Cormac.

 “Because it has brown fur on it.” said Cecily.

 “Um guys?” said Claudia.

“What?” said Cormac. 

“I think that was his claw.” said Claudia who was pointing to a huge bear with brown fur and a missing claw.

 “RUUN!!”  yelled all of them and they dove into a big crack in the wall.

 The bear got stunned by Cormac while Claudia, Cormac and Cecily climbed out.

 Flame was spitting flames at the stunned bear. 

“Maybe you should take off the light trail.” said Claudia 

“Good idea” said Cecily who turned to her evil eye and whispered  “I wish the trail of light would go away.” And within seconds the light went away. 

They were now standing in the middle of a pitch black cave.

 “Lumos.” said Cormac and his wand lit up. 

“Thanks.” said Claudia and Cecily together. 

“You are welcome.” said Cormac.

“Should we head out?” said Claudia. There was a faint note of fear in her voice.

 “Let's walk a bit more.” said Cecily. 

“Um look up.” said Cormac. 

They looked up at the damp ceiling of the cave. There were at least 50 bats hanging on the ceiling. 

“Don’t talk” whispered Cecily as she put her hands over Claudia's and Cormac’s mouths. 

They crept under the bats. They ran very fast until they were out of the bats view.

 Cecily finally removed her hands from both her friends mouths and they both fell on the cold cave floor. 

“Are you guys ok?” asked Cecily.  

“Yes but can we PLEASE GO BACK.” Claudia pleaded. 

“Oh fine. But you know you will have to cross the bats again.” said Cecily.

 “Ok that’s fine as long as we can go back home.” said Claudia.

 “Ok. Ready to go? You got Flame?” asked Cecily. 

“Yup” said Claudia who was forcing Flame off her head.  

“Cormac got your wand?” asked Cecily 

“I think so” said Cormac who was playing with his wand. 

“Ok time to go!” said Cecily as they ran past the bats and past the crack and past the scull and out of the cave. 

Cormac took out his walkie-talkie and asked his mom to come and pick them up and in 4 minutes the car was there and they were driving back home as they told Cormac's Mom about the cave and then they were at the house where they played games all day and night.

Egypt: My Adventures with Pharaohs and Pyramids!

Did you know that the Biggest Pyramid (Khafre) is actually not the tallest pyramid? It is just built on higher grounds! I want to tell you about the pyramids of Giza.  First I will introduce you to the pyramids, then I will tell you about Howard Carter, the man who found King Tuts tomb, and then I will tell you about King Tut

CHAPTER 1 The Pyramids of Giza

I want to introduce you to the three pyramids of Giza! 

1st: Khufu biggest

2d: Khafre medium 

3rd: Menkaure smallest

The biggest one is called Khufu. It is 146 meters! There is another one that is called Khafre. Khafre is the son of Khufu! It is 143 meters. Khafre’s pyramid  looks bigger and taller because it was built on higher grounds. 

Egypt was rich and powerful a long time ago. The pyramids are over 10,000 years old!  The pyramids are in Northern Egypt. The paid labors built the pyramids in a specific place so when you traveled into Northern Egypt you could see them and you would be impressed and think, “WOW! Egypt has a LOT of money if they built THAT!”

CHAPTER 2 What Is A Pyramid?

What is a pyramid? A pyramid is a big pyramid (a pyramid is a big 3d triangle). Ancient Egyptians had Kings but called them Pharaohs (f-air-ows.) When the pharos died, (If the Egyptians loved them a lot) they would make a big pyramid for them. They would put all the things they needed for the afterlife in their pyramids, like food, Jewelry, carriages, weapons and much more. Soon the Ancient Egyptians learned that there were robbers. They would go into the pyramids because they knew that they belonged to the pharaohs and there was lots of gold in there. So the Egyptians put secret passageways in the pyramids so the robbers would get lost. They wanted to be more protected so they built underground tombs. 

CHAPTER 3 King Tut

King tut was 9 years old when he became Pharaoh of Egypt. He was 18 or 19 when he died. And when you become a Pharaoh, the Egyptians build your tomb (but they started to build them underground to be more safe.) So they started to build his tomb. But since he was a Pharaoh, they did not have enough time to build his huge underground tomb fit for a Pharaoh before he died. The paint was still wet when he died, so it when they sealed it, it began to mold. So they took Pharaoh Tut’s body out of the tomb and buried it in a different one. But this one was far too small for a king. But they had no other choice so they stuffed him in the tomb and everything was way smooshed.

CHAPTER 4  Howard Carter

Howard Carter was the man that found King Tut’s tomb. His team was on a search for Egyptian mummies for 3 decades. A worker was walking towards another tomb when he tripped and fell and uncovered king tuts tomb. Howard Carter found a book in the tomb and gave it to the worker for a souvenir but the next day that worker that he gave the books house burned down. He thinks that the book is haunted.

“When archaeologist Howard Carter held up a candle to peer inside on November 26, 1922, the light glinted on golden objects. This tomb, belonging to the Pharaoh Tutankhamun would soon become the most famous ancient Egyptian discovery of all time.”

What A Guanaca! (Wha-nah-ka)

The 8 cousins were on the floating boat. The hole that Axel had made with the Harpoon was not helping them. It was freezing the boat! It froze the motor and everything! The boat started to sink! So the 8 cousins climbed out of the hole that Axel made. They were on the top of the boat and a hot air balloon drifted down to them. They all got into it and they started to go up into the air. A couple minutes later they landed on the top of Fitz Roy, Patagonia. everyone climbed out and got onto the snow. 

“Well what do we do now?” said Cecily who was petting a calico cat.

 

“I have no idea other than get covered in cats that are in Rowan’s sleeping bag” said Bridger.

 “Good idea! But we don’t have enough cats!” said Blakely.

 “I can count all of them.” said Rowan, who was already covered in cats.

 “Ok” said Ainsley.

 “What if we don’t have enough?” said Milan.

 “Or we can just freeze.” said Cecily.

 “Or get shot by Axel’s harpoon.” said Blakely. 

“Or we ride Guanacas!” said a voice. 

The 8 cousins turned around and saw 10 Guanacas in front of them. 2 people were on their own Guanacas. “Get on the Guanacas!” Said the person.

 

“What’s your names?” asked Cecily.

 

“Olivia” said one. 

“Emma” said the other. 

“We are Guanaca riders.” said Emma.

 “I can tell.” said Cecily. 

“You seem like my cousins” said  Dawson.

 “I know a place you will like.” said Olivia

 “but it might take a long time!” said Emma.

 “and might be a little warm.” said Olivia.

 And in a flash they were on the Guanacas and riding towards Chile. 

On the way down it was really steep because they were on a mountain. 

“Are you guys hungry?” asked Olivia

 “Not me” said Ainsley who was shaking her ramen.

 “Don’t you need warm water for that?” asked Cecily.

 “Oh yea.” said Ainsley.

“Here.” said Emma. She handed Ainsley a steaming hot kettle. 

“How’d you do that?” asked Cecily. 

“I heated it up at home and then put it in my back pack.” said Olivia. 

Everyone except Olivia and Emma were putting their hands on the kettle. 

“How many minutes is this trip?” asked Bridger. 

“Oh it won’t be long” said Olivia and Emma at the same time.

Ainsley was eating her noodles while Cecily ate an orange, Milan ate a peach, Blakey ate a box of strawberries, Dawson ate an avocado, Bridger ate a watermelon and was also feeding it to his Guanaca! Rowan was eating a grape vine and Axel was eating a box of pomegranates. Olivia was eating a pear and Emma was eating a banana.

 

They finally arrived to Chile. They went to a house that was protected by a big mountain. They wouldn’t get burned by the lava. There was a big ice cream place close to them so the 10 cousins walked to the ice cream place and they were all happy!
